I can safely say that today was one of THE most inspirational talks I have ever had. 
NTU were lucky enough to have a Q & A with Greg Stogdon - Burberry's Senior VP of Creative Media! 
He talked to us about how he came all the way from not even being sure whether he wanted to do anything to do with fashion to where he is today...
His journey started at Central Saint Martins where he liked art and had an idea of design, however he didn't think very highly of the fashion world itself. He explains that it wasn't till he had a talk with Paul Smith himself in 1997 that he decided that the fashion world might be for him. Paul Smith reassured him that "You can be normal in the fashion world'.

He then worked full time for a small independent magazine called 'Tank' at the same time as being a full time student at CSM. It wasn't till his graduation project became global that his path was really set for him. 

He moved to New York with no job and no where really to live, and managed to land himself a job within a week at Visionare - Logo work.
He initially worked a lot outside of fashion.

When he came back to the UK he was approached to work at Lang Crawford which is basically Selfridges but BIGGER and in Hong Kong, and they encouraged him to start his own company. 

Following his he was called up by a headhunter for Burberry, after years of emailing them and receiving no reply, he finally got one! 
He redraw the logo and fonts and started to create an internal aesthetic, and collate his own team! He created Burberrys Facebook page, and they were the first luxury brand who were on Facebook. 
Within 6 years there was a massive transformation, the company spoke internally for themselves, they didn't hire agencies to do the job, they did it themselves - Internal design team were created. 

Since then their digital scene has just exploded, with projects such as the holographic film in Beijing, The Art of the Trench, Burberry acoustic - promoting new artists and Kisses project with google.

Technology is at the forefront of their brand
